Dwight Howard has been the center of trade speculation this off season. It was reported that he had demanded a trade out of Orlando. His destination was rumored to be the Nets at one point, and even the Los Angeles Lakers. After all of this trade talk, Howard recently stated he wants to stay with the Magic.
"I love this city, there is no place I'd rather be but Orlando," Howard said. "I just want to make sure we have the right things here so we can win a championship. I'm all about change. If you're willing to change and you're willing to do what it takes to win then, you know, you got me."It is nice to see that a player with Dwight Howard's status is interested in staying with his team and not leaving. In a league where it seems to be all about being traded to the best situation to win a championship, Howard staying in Orlando would be great. If Howard could win a championship while playing for his original team in the Orlando Magic, it will make that moment even more special for him and for all the fans. It sure made the moment special for long time Dallas Maverick Dirk Nowitizki when he finally won the big one this past season. Seeing Dwight Howard win a ring while sticking it through with the Magic would be nothing short of a "magical" moment.

Chauncey Billups has been another name in the NBA news lately. He was released by the Knicks and warned he wanted to become an unrestricted free agent. He basically said if a team signs him off the waivers that he doesn't want to play for, he's hitting the bricks. A team ended up signing him and that team was the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers at one point were in the running for Chris Paul, but it seems that deal should be off now that they have landed Billups. Even though Billups was most likely looking to sign with a championship contender, I'm sure playing alongside Blake Griffin and the young Clippers will be just fine with him. The Clippers also get a solid point guard without having to give up essential pieces to their team like they would have to do in their trade with Paul. It seems like a good situation for Billups and the Clippers.
